About
I write clear, concise copy for business, academic, and nonprofit clients throughout the world. From one-person shops to global corporations, I help my clients tell compelling stories about themselves and their services.
That could be
- Working with a small business owner to craft just the right content for her website;
- Ghostwriting articles;
- Writing sales brochures;
- Blogging for clients without the time to create their own posts;
- Interviewing stakeholders for a case study;
- Editing reports to make them more readable, understandable—and human;
- Reviewing manuscripts for publishers and writers.
Rowley Who?
I’m Matthew Rowley. I’m an author, editor, public speaker, blogger, and freelance business writer in Southern California. I am a past board member of the Southern Foodways Alliance and the Museum Council of Philadelphia and the Greater Delaware Valley. I earned degrees from Truman State University and the University of Kansas and conducted postgraduate studies at the Wharton School of Business.
My 2,000-volume culinary library is open to chefs, bartenders, historians, journalists, and students. When I’m not writing for clients, I maintain Rowley’s Whiskey Forge, a sporadic blog devoted to the history and practice of distilling, cocktails, and good eats.
